A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Monday, January 20, 2020 at 3pm
Join us as we celebrate Dr. King's birthday featuring readings from his essays and speeches, plus songs and poems that are inspired by his legacy and commitment to peace, justice and anti-racism. We welcome your participation and encourage you to bring any related readings or songs that have been inspiring to you.

Pot luck dinner to follow! Outlets are available for crock-pots and electric chafing dishes. Sorry, no Sterno or open flame allowed.

3:00pm "John Lewis: Get In The Way" documentary
(Recommended for children 6th grade and up)
4:00pm Songs, discussion and community reading
5:00-ish Potluck supper

FREE event Co-sponsored by the West River Community Project and the Jamaica Community Arts Council.
